LUGNEGÅRD DESIGN WORKSHOP

YES! Finally!! Join us on november 24th for the PREMIER of
LUGNEGÅRD DESIGN WORKSHOP. This workshop (is actually 3 classes in one night) is the first
in a serie about design visualisation, concept design and concept art. We plan to do several seminars
that will help you to improve your visual communication skills. Consider this to be a "pilot episode".

These events are called workshops but are more like in-depth seminars or classes.
You may call it "live tutorials" if that makes it easier to understand what it´s all about ;)

Our goal is to bring advanced visual art training to a bigger, more diverse crowd.
We KNOW there´s a big thirst for this kind of education opportunities and hopefully this
will take away some of that thirst.

You don´t have to bring any equipment, just bring an open mind. Further down the road we hope
to do true workshops in areas that YOU request!

- How much: FREE!!
- What time? 6pm-9pm

- Where? Designhögskolan, Umeå
- Why? Because you want to learn to design futuristic vehicles, create awesome
concept designs and because you want to be the best artist you can be (and have
alot of fun).
- Who is this for? This is for all designer/artists no matter the discipline.
If you are an industrial designer, product designer, transportation designer, 3d artist
2d artist, game artist, student or any other artist interested in vehicle design
and concept art, then this class will help you. For certain.

This event is an collaboration with Umeå City & Design Västerbotten.

This first seminar is divided into three classes:
1. Theme exploration with thumbnails in Photoshop
2. Mockup in Maya, detailing using kit-bashing and rendering in Hypershot
3. Paintover, color correction & graphics in Photoshop.

You don´t need to knowMaya or Hypershot to get something out of this seminar. Some 3D knowledge
is of course good, but not a must to follow along. The idea is to show you possibilities and tricks that
can enhance your workflow and make more free in your role as a designer.

For people out of town there´s a lot of nice hotels and youth hostels in Umeå.
